New Jindo Tales Book
in the works for 2021!
I'm very proud to announce that a third Jindotales book is finally in the works and will be hopefully be released in July 2021. This book will be a tribute to the tradition of Korean fables and storytelling. I have many fond memories of Korean fables shared with me by my late father, and look forward to continuing such a special tradition. I hope that my readers will enjoy this book as much as my first two. Please scroll below to meet the newest subject of Jindotales Volume 3.
Jindotales Books is thrilled to introduce Tiger, the Korean Jindo who will be featured in my next book. Tiger is a 3 year old male Jindo who was adopted from a high kill shelter in Seoul, Korea. He is currently living happily with his new owners in Sweden. Tiger is a beautiful example of a brindle, or Hogu or Hoban type Jindo. I look forward to translating his expressive eyes and unique markings into the lead character of my next book. It's easy to be inspired by a Jindo with such great looks and a lovable personality.
Congratulations, Tiger!

Hangeul Day 2014
Jindotales was once again honored to be a part of Hangeul Day at Barnard Asian Pacific Language Acadamy! Many kids enjoyed the opportunity to learn about Korea's national breed, the Jindo dog. Author Helen T. Kim shared original artwork from both of her books and held a coloring contest to encourage the students to explore their imagination and express their creativity. They also learned about the various Jindo coat colors, including Hwanggu, Baekgu, Hogu and Heukgal.
